Mobile analytics firm Kochava launched a free version of its campaign measurement and optimisation platform.

Free App Analytics® enables app advertisers to analyse campaigns across 2,400 global ad networks, including Facebook, Google, Amazon, Twitter and Snapchat.

CEO Charles Manning admitted “there is no shortage of providers and solutions claiming to give you the edge over the competition with their proprietary tools,” but believes the platform will help more users because it is free. “Especially those who are learning the mechanics and reacting to the dynamics involved in the mobile marketing ecosystem for the first time.”

Advertisers will have transparency, control and access to the metrics they need without the cost typically associated with this level of information and precision, he added.

It also offers a global index of thousands of integrated ad networks allowing discovery, filtering and selection to match audience preferences, while post-install event tracking will give insight into user actions relevant to key performance indicators.

Once users are acquired, Free App Analytics® provides precise measurement of in-app events for advertisers to define a specific cohort of users. They can then run a comparison of specific cohorts and find look-alike audiences and networks that can reach them.

The company also launched Kochava Intelligence, a suite of business intelligence tools for understanding app audiences and improving app performance.
