Onboarding links enable advertisers to request attribution data be returned to the app, via Kochava’s SDK, in order to offer end users a first-run experience contextual to their path to the app.

Attribute Media Spend via Real-World Events with iBeacons

Kochava’s support for iBeacons means advertisers can now track location-based events within the Kochava dashboard and leverage the data to increase retention and lifetime value. An iBeacon is a low-cost, low-power transmitter which can be detected by mobile devices. Through Kochava, advertisers can manage all their iBeacons in a single dashboard and the Kochava SDK uses Apple’s Significant-Change Location Service to ensure that an advertiser’s app is aware of the 20 iBeacons nearest to their end user’s location. For example, a hotel app might leverage iBeacons to accelerate check-in for frequent guests as they arrive at the hotel; a concert or sporting event venue might trigger merchandise coupons or seat-upgrade offers depending on a guest’s location; or a department store may use iBeacons to understand and optimize the flow of customers through the store.

 

Onboarding Links for Delivering a Custom Launch Experience

The Kochava SDK enables developers to subscribe to real-time attribution information within the SDK, in order to create custom launch experiences for users.  App developers may request the attribution source from the Kochava server.  This feature enables the app to know whether the user was organic, and if not, to which network and campaign they are attributed. Now developers can ensure that when users launch their app for the first time, they are greeted with an experience relevant to how they installed the app.  For example, a user who clicked on an ad unit offering a 20 percent discount can be served a different experience than a user who clicked on an ad unit which did not include a discount.  A user who installed organically can be treated uniquely as well.
