New analytics view in beta, ReactNative SDK updates, and more

The month of July finally saw summer temperatures reach the upper 90’s here at Kochava headquarters in Sandpoint, ID, along with a flurry of product and partnership activity as the 3rd quarter of the year got underway.

In this July 2022 product update, we will touch on the following:

  • Custom Visualization – a new analytics view in beta
  • ReactNative SDK updates
  • General feature enhancements & updates
  • New partners and updated integrations

Let’s unpack further details on each item below.

Custom Visualization – a new analytics view in beta

You will notice a new menu entry within the analytics dashboard labeled Custom Visualization. This new view was released at the end of July and is currently in beta.

Using this view, marketers have newfound flexibility to customize data fields, filters, and metric calculations to dissect campaign performance based on their terms. Marketers can also toggle between visualization types to control how the data manifests in charts and/or graphs.

USE CASE:

Suppose you want to visualize total performance metrics across your top 10 countries for the last 30 days among your entire app portfolio. You can quickly customize the fields, and calculations to include impressions, clicks, installs, events and revenue (if applicable) across all of your ad network partners. You can tailor the visual expression of this data and/or export the entire data set for further exploration.

Please note that App ID is currently available to filter and group data. If you need help locating the App IDs assigned by Kochava to each app, please contact your Client Success Manager or email support@kochava.com. The App Name you enter in Kochava during app creation will soon be introduced for easier readability.

Custom Visualization will be a game changer for customers who don’t have access to Kochava Query or aren’t comfortable writing their own structured query language (SQL) queries. It enables every customer to get hands-on with their performance metrics across every app under their account. With simple widgets, marketers can toggle and filter which parameter fields, attribution data, calculated metrics, and in-app events are incorporated into a view. Additionally, unlike the long-time Explorer view (found at the bottom of the secondary navigation sidebar), which doesn’t allow for the export of nested data groupings, all displayed data can be exported from Custom Visualization.

Want to explore this same data set alongside your media spend?

Contact your Client Success Manager or email Support@Kochava.com and ask how you can start using Kochava Cost to  aggregate your cost data across partners accurately and better understand the return on ad spend.

When you first select Custom Visualization from the left-hand navigation, you will see four Quick Start views available for selection. These prebuilt views pivot performance metrics across 7-days by network, campaign, creative, and country. Based on client feedback and requests, additional Quick Start views will be added in the future.

You also have the ability to create and save your own custom views at the user or account level.

ReactNative SDK updates

ReactNative SDK v2.0.0 is now available.

This was a substantial update, improving usability, performance, and stability. For iOS specifically, the minimum Xcode version was updated to 13.3.1 and the wrapped native SDK code base was completely converted from Objective-C to Swift. For Android, the minimum supported Android API level was increased from 14 to 16.

New features were also added for privacy, enabling additional developer controls for restriction of data gathering on a per-user basis.

See full SDK documentation here.
