Fine Grained Value | Definition
At WWDC 2022, Apple announced updates to the fourth generation (v4.0) of SKAdNetwork. With SKAdNetwork 4.0, the conversion value will be segmented into “coarse grained” or “fine grained” values. A fine grained value is equivalent to the standard conversion value (0-63) available in versions 2.0 and 3.0 of SKAdNetwork.
The fine grained conversion value can be sent ONLY when the highest privacy threshold (crowd anonymity tier) is met as it provides the most granular post-install quality insights available with SKAdNetwork while still preserving user privacy. Note that the coarse grained and fine grained values are mutually exclusive; the coarse grained value will never be sent in tandem with the fine grained value.
