Chartboost, Kochava, PlayFab, Scientific Revenue, and Vungle Now Offering Integrated Services to Cocos2d-x Users
BEIJING – October 28, 2014 – Chukong Technologies today announced their partnership with Chartboost, Kochava, PlayFab, Scientific Revenue, and Vungle to create the Cocos Services initiative (cocos.com/services). Cocos Services will be offered alongside the Cocos2d-x game engine, which is used by more than 400,000 developers around the world including Zynga, Big Fish, and Wooga. As a result of these partnerships, mobile developers can now access a full suite of services through a single platform, giving them a one-stop shop to build, distribute, monetize, and analyze their games with a unified experience.
“Cocos Services fills the growing need for developers to integrate the technologies they need to make their games successful with the least amount of difficulty,” said Lei Zhang, US General Manager, Chukong Technologies. “Our partners represent the finest service providers in each of their fields, and Cocos Services has made access to these industry-leading technologies easier than ever.”
The Cocos Services initiative was announced at Chukong’s CocoaChina Developer Conference in Beijing earlier today. Initially launching with five partners, Chukong will add additional technology providers to expand the options available for mobile game developers. The partner services will also be offered alongside Chukong’s international publishing branch.
The Cocos2d-x game engine is open-source, free for developers to use, and provides true cross-platform development options. Cocos2d-x will be optimized to work with Cocos Services partners’ technology, and the expanded engine capabilities will form the foundation of the Cocos developer platform.
